Q:  You’re called an unpacking service.  Do you pack, too?

A:  Sometimes we do.  Depending on the size of the move and the items that need to be packed, we will determine whether you will get a better deal if we do the packing or if your moving company does.  We don’t pack for moves of people leaving the Puget Sound area unless we are also doing their unpacking.

Q:  So you will unpack us no matter where we move?

A:  Yes, we work anywhere in the U.S.; however travel charges may apply outside the Puget Sound area.

Q:  How much does your service cost?

A:  Because each client has their own individual needs, each job is individually priced.  We will come to the home you’re moving from and give you a free consultation and a bid for the services you have selected.  Real estate agents and other professionals offering our service as a thank-you gift may purchase a certificate for a set amount, to which their clients may add if they wish.

Please note that if you are getting bids from a moving company, in order to compare “apples to apples” what we do is sometimes called ‘maid service’ in their industry.  ‘Unpacking’ is a less comprehensive service.

Q:  How do you know where to put my “stuff” when you unpack it?

A:  We will discuss your preferences with you during your free consultation.  We generally use a combination of esthetics and ergonomics to help you decide where your things are best placed in your new home, taking into consideration your family’s lifestyle and favorite belongings.  You may be there directing us while we’re unpacking or some of our clients draw us a “map” of their vision for the organization of their things.

Incidentally, some of our clients choose to go on vacation while we are handling their move for them.  When they come home, the only things they have to unpack are their suitcases!

Q:  Where were you when I moved __ months ago?

A:  We get this question so often!  Remember how exhausted you were last time you moved?  And how long it took to get that last box unpacked?  Be sure to tell your family and friends who are moving about our service, so they don’t have to ask us that question, too!
